I know most people start off the new year with wanting to change their habits, but what they don't realize is that it takes 3 full months of consistency to actually make it a habit in their life so that it is a life-time change instead of just another temporary change in their everyday battles and life. This blog is to help you see the great strides, good intentions, completions, failures and even victories that I will make this year in my life. I hope it inspires you to just take it one day at a time and to realize that each day is another journey towards a better you in Christ.
Today (January 12 - Thursday): Alexis slept ok last night. She woke up at 4 - then went back to sleep till 5. I got her and took her upstairs - she fell back to sleep on the couch with me until 6:15am. Was nice to not have to wake up five times last night....I feel a bit more rested than yesterday :). Had 1.5 eggs with an ounce of cheese, a whole apple and a tablespoon of peanut butter for Breakfast at 6:30am. Saw Loralei and Gavin off to school and the hubs off to work. Alexis and I at 8:30am did a four minute workout and set our timer for in an hour. Then the sweet baby came and she played with us and we read books for an hour. At 9:30 Alexis and I did another 4 minute workout and I had 1 cheese stick and a mandarian orange. I also had a nice warm cup of green tea. It was super yummy with a little bit of pumpkin spice latte CoffeeMate creamer in it. The sweet baby laid down for her morning nap and Alexis sat down for some Barney sing-a-long action. At 10:30am we stopped for another 4 minute workout and I was STARVING! So, I went ahead and put together what I had planned for lunch (I know it is early, but if you look at the timing - it is understandable.....eat within an hour of waking, within 3 hours of breakfast, within one hour of snack). I just need to make sure to have something scheduled for a snack 3 hours after lunch that is meal size and will give me 3 more hours to wait for dinner tonight. We have a leader's meeting at church tonight and they are ordering Subway. I didn't realize they were so healthy friendly. I ordered a salad though - because I LOVE salads and I admit I want an excuse to be able to eat just one cookie :) For lunch at 10:30 I had a can of tuna with 1 tablespoon of mayo (Duke's of course!) and had it on two slices of super high fiber bread and lots of lettuce piled on the sandwich. It was actually quite filling! Missed my 11:30 workout because I was planning something for the middle school girl's small group at my church. Alexis and I did a 4 minute workout at 12:30 and rest the timer for in an hour. The sweet baby woke up during middle of the day and I fed her - she is so adorable! She then played tummy time for an hour with Alexis and me. at 1:30 I did another 4 minute workout and was starving again so I ate a full can of vegetable soup with sour cream (I love sour cream) and a cheese stick. Equaled to a meal amount so that will set me until 4:30 for another "meal". Today is odd because the time we eat at church is so late so I have to accommodate for that in my meal planning today....has made it difficult. Looking forward to my 3:30 workout because Loralei will be joining me and it will be a little more complex one - the last two of the day always are. IF anyone actually reads this and wants to know what the actual workouts are that I am doing - comment and I will tell you - otherwise I will just journal this for myself to reference later.
